Scenic Hill Farm Nursery

Ordering was easy—the website was very easy to browse and purchase from. I called for an update on my order, and the gentleman who answered said, "I'm outside right now, but my buddy has a smartphone. Let's figure out where your order is." Two minutes later, he had my answer. He explained the shipping process, the recent heat concerns, and let me know my order would likely ship within the week. That level of customer service really stood out to me. When the package arrived, I was blown away. Everything was packed incredibly well, organized intelligently, and every plant was exceptionally healthy. I honestly couldn't believe a nursery like this exists. This will be my go-to—and likely my only—place to order plants from in the future. I hope to spread the word because businesses that provide this level of quality and service deserve to grow. I hope this small review can play a small part in that.

Great selection of Raspberry cultivators. Purchased 12 Cascade Golds and 4 Honey Queens. Best shipping and packaging of plants I have received from any nursery. Plants were supported, moist-water gels, and came with great planting and post shipping directions. Very responsive to my email messages as well. Thank you Scenic Hill Farm Nursery.

Beautiful plants at a great price. The plants were shipped by the next day and had arrived withing 4 days. The care in packaging made sure they arrived without any damage. The quality of these plants was actually better than what I find at our local nursery and at a better price. My only regret was not buying more but I just foresee placing another order in the future.

I found this nursery through an internet search. Did a bit a research for reviews and found mixed feedback. Took a shot because prices were pretty good. Personal experience so far is VERY good in terms of turnaround/shipping. I placed my order at night, the next day a shipping label was created, and the same day shipment was updated as accepted. I’m assuming they send their shipments out in bulk every Monday. So keep that in mind. I’ll update after I receive my package with plant quality, shipping condition/packaging, etc. So far so good. Update. Received my package today, 8 days after making purchase, 7 days for shipping. Arrived well packaged, water beads put in with roots, root balls taped to the inside of the box so no shifting occurred during shipping. Plants seem healthy. Even came with simple instructions. I don’t need them but may be helpful for some. So overall I am very satisfied. Thanks.

I ordered some raspberries from SHFN and am disappointed so far. 3 plants look good. 2 are tiny, 2-3", not what I was expecting. When I contacted them I got a prompt reply stating that small plants can survive, too. That is correct, but they certainly won't be able to grow as quickly and I would be very surprised if they are as productive in the first couple years as the other plants. To me, it is kind of like getting blemished fruit at the store. Yes, it is still nutritious and I will eat it (I eat my own blemished fruit all the time), but I don't expect to pay the same price for it as I do for the best stuff. The email went on to question my soil and to note that the plants need protection below 28 degrees. I guess that is technically a good idea, but I have never had to protect my raspberry plants and we got to about -10 last winter. Seems like he is just setting up to blame me if the plants don't make it. Anyway, price was low and maybe I should not expect too much? Now, are they also virus free or not? It just seems like a seller should cull a little to make sure customers are getting what they expect. Or maybe call before shipping to see if the tiny plants are OK. Or throw
